Jaja

36 X 36 inch acrylic painting on stretched canvas. "Jaja" means daisy in Swahili. Only 13.18% of Sacramento's population is of African descent. 18 major U.S. museums have 85% white and 87% male artists. Only 3.9% of the artists are African American. As I paint my 36X36 acrylic paintings series, I just want to ensure that I capture a fair representation of my hometown.  We are created in His image.
