30 Minutes a Day - Day 17

Since Saturday, I've gained a pound a day. That's great news. My weight has increased to 114 pounds.

I'm hoping to do some outdoor drawing this morning. I'd like to draw irises. In my backyard, I had a few. They weren't planted by me. They grew from the neighbor's yard. Thanks Anne!

I hope to see an old friend today. It has been about fifteen years since I last saw her. Our parents knew each other since high school. Her parents are my Godparents. Her husband caught the bridal garter at our wedding. We will be married forty years this year.

I wanted to go to the Blueprint Coffee Project in Old Sacramento this afternoon, but changed my plans (because the old friend is coming to town). So, I am hoping to get over to the Blueprint Coffee Project to see my painting on display next week. The friends I wanted to play with today at the coffee shop weren't available anyway so we will see if they can take some time to be together next week. Their health issues can block our time together. Some of my friends still work. The majority of them aren't interested in my art.

Tomorrow is Ascension Day. For 40 days after His resurrection on Easter Sunday, the Bible says that Jesus travelled and preached with His apostles, preparing them for His departure. Ascension Day marks the moment Jesus literally ascended into heaven before his disciples.

One of the earliest Christian festivals, Ascension Day marks the end of the Easter season. Ascension Day is always on a Thursday because the date of Easter varies from year to year.

What do you eat on Ascension Day? Eat Fowl. Since I am detoxing and trying a plant based diet this month, I would like to eat air fried okra tomorrow. Don't know if I will like it, but I have tried most things, once. I know my sister-in-law loves okra. I think she has an air fryer. She got her kitchen remodeled last year. I haven't seen it yet. Wanted to stop by many times, but they are never available. It might be best. She has cats. I'm allergic to cats.

This year, I hope to paint a cat by a Christmas tree or hitting a Christmas present. If you have a photo of your cat at these poses, send me one! You are under no obligation. IF I choose to paint something with your photo as a reference, I would ask you to sign a release.

Applying for an Artist's Grant

I am contemplating applying for an artist's grant. Do you have any experience doing so. My biggest weakness is marketing. I need a proper art gallery website to run an efficient art business. I would
