In the United States, you generally have to pay federal income tax if your total annual income - including art sales - exceeds the standard deduction ($15,700 for single filers in 2025). However, if your net earnings (profit) from selling art are $400 or more , you are required to pay self-employment tax (social security and Medicare) regardless of whether your total income requires filing a return. I am currently working on a 36 X 36-inch acrylic painting on linen for the Engage Art Contest. 2 Timothy 1:7 is the scripture verse depicted.  " For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." I have made this my anchor verse.

I just completed a 36 X 36-inch acrylic painting on linen of the McKinley Rose Garden in Sacramento, California. This is the biggest rose garden in Sacramento with 1,200 rose plants on 1.5 acres. My cousin, Jane Tozier's first wedding was at this rose garden.

I've been networking with these professionals in Lincoln, California, they are a sisterhood group. Dominque Pianalto, a strength trainer with baby number three, is in this group.
