A Recent Surprise
On April 15, 2022 I helped move my 57 year-old younger brother to independent living. Our mother was 88 years old. It was time for him to find his own way to get bathed, fed, shaved and a variety of other tasks that able-bodied people may take for granted. My brother is a brain trauma survivor with limited fine motor skills which means things like shaving, getting dressed, and using a toilet are challenging.
With my background as a retired civil servant, I proudly jumped at the chance to connect him with In Home Supportive Services.
