30 Minutes a Day - Day 11

The birthday of a loved one is today, and he is the model for a couple of illustrations I did for a children's book. In the next few weeks, I will return to working on the illustrations for the book.

Meanwhile, I am frantically working on an acrylic painting of my husband on his motorcycle that measures 12 X 12. I would like to enter it in a show.

My husband is a Patriot Guard Rider. In addition, he will assist in the escorting of a piece of airport equipment that will receive the remains of fallen military personnel as it travels across the country from our county to the next. My 75-year-old man rides a motorcycle.

The Harris Center will host The Artist's Mind Artist reception from 5-7 p.m. tomorrow. Please stop by and see my 3D Assemblage art piece. It's a very different piece for me. I paint.

Monday, I hope to have some time with our youngest daughter and her family. I hope to capture some cat photos as I have been asked to present some Christmas cat paintings.

Tuesday, from 1-3 p.m., I have the Artist's Reception at Gallery 1855 in Davis, California.

Then, sometimes I go out into the woods with the Placerville Arts Association for some plein air. I am an acrylic artist so, I don't bring my acrylic paints, but opt to just draw in the peace.

And Wednesday, I am stopping by the Blueprint Coffee Project in Old Sacramento as I have one painting on display and for sale as a part of the Stop Stigma Sacramento art exhibition.

Oh! And did I mention that I would like to stop by Old Soul@40 ACRES COFFEE SHOP? I have a solo show in December there and would like to see the venue to decide what would be most welcomed. It's on the ground floor of the old Woodruff Hotel in Oak Park, California.

They will have a speaker coming to this site soon. I would love to hear the New York times Best Selling Author Resmaa Menakem to discuss his latest novel Monsters in Love: Why Your Partner Sometimes Drives You Crazy - And What You Can Do About It.

Applying for an Artist's Grant

I am contemplating applying for an artist's grant. Do you have any experience doing so. My biggest weakness is marketing. I need a proper art gallery website to run an efficient art business. I would
