May is Mental Health Month

Stop the stigma!

The “Mental Illness: It’s not always what you think” project is organizing mental health art exhibits around Sacramento County to honor May is Mental Health Month.

A few years ago, I decided to enter the Sacramento Mental Health Art Show. I submitted a drawing I did in college. The drawing was accepted and hung in the Governor's Hall in the state Capitol. I never looked back.

This week, I will be delivering another painting to the Sacramento Mental Health Art Show. The exhibit will run through May. Location will be announced at the end of April. Please be on the lookout for my Saharan Horned Viper. It is a 10 X 12 inch acrylic painting on canvas.
